Hi,
You can change the cost base of assets through System Setup > View and Edit Cost Base. This will show you the current cost base (as per the asset record) and the suggested cost base (as per the balance of the account representing the asset). You can change and update the cost base through this screen.
Please note that changing the cost base of an asset through this screen will not change the balance of the accounts.
