Hi

Just looking for an update on when the next release is due.

As noted in one or two posts it seems to have been long time coming; and many of us are hoping to complete EoY stuff in good time to send to our friendly auditor!

Can you also just give a quick rundown / reminder on what it will contain.

Thanks.

Adrian

We are in the final week of testing and hoping to get it out next week.

The reason for the delay is that all existing customers will receive MySF Professional with this release.

This includes not only the fixes for EOY and other minor changes but also functionality around electronnic lodgement of the Tax Return.

We will post a full list of the additional functionality in the coming couple of days

There is also a pdf version of the manual - which I think was one of the features you were after.

Thanks for your paitience

Regards

chris

Further to the above postings, the summary of added features of MySF:

- Improved reporting, including all-new reports and enhanced existing reports from MySF Manager v1.4.7

- Batch reporting: ability to run any number of reports for one or more funds at once. This effectively produces a report booklet for each fund, with list of contents. Can be displayed on screen, or automatically exported to PDF.

- Batch general journal transaction entry.

- Import of Asset Activity (purchases, sales, corporate activity, etc) from CSV and Excel files, such as those produced by Praemium, or trade histories downloaded from E*Trade. These features have been added to speed up data entry. This feature is fully customizable, and can import almost any CSV or Excel file, so long as the minimum information is contained (in any order).

- Data import from BGL SimpleFund for users of that software looking to migrate to MySF. This is a largely automated process (wziard format), with some user interaction.

- Data Export (Accounts, Transactions, Business Cards, Asset Listings) to a CSV format, including MYOB compatible files. This feature is fully customisable, so you can choose what information to include and the order they should appear, as well as specifying formatting parameters.

- Bank reconciliation feature aided by import from BankLink extract files

- ELS: electronic lodgment of tax returns. This is a separate add-on at this point.

- PDF of updated user manual made available online, and updated user manual included with the software.

Most of these features have been added for convenience and to speed up data entry.

There are also a number of bug fixes, most notably for year end, and for financial assets purchased and sold on the same date.

Kind Regards,

MySF

Hi,

Yes, the amount recorded as tax deferred will now reduce the cost base of the asset.
